Motorists Look For A Cheaper Fuel
As fuel prices are seemingly ever increasing, Australian motorists are rushing to capitalize on the cleaner, cheaper and more abundant Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG). There has been a particularly strong increase in the conversion to LPG in the light commercial vehicle sector. This is where tradesmen, couriers and small transport operators with high mileage vehicles are saving $200 to $300 per week on their fuel bills by converting to LPG.
Small businesses and motoring families are the big winners out of making the investment in converting their cars to LPG – they pay around one third of the price of petrol at the bowser ! Fleet owners are also reaping the rewards with the sale of their secondhand LPG vehicles showing a premium over petrol vehicles of between $2,000 & $3,000.
LPG does not only produce environmental and cost saving benefits for motorists, but LPG is good for our trade balance sheets seeing as Australia relies heavily on imported oil for our petrol production requirements where as LPG is in abundant supply, in fact Australia produces so much LPG that excess LPG is exported at bargain prices as Australia produce more LPG than we actually consume.
