Innovative Solutions
APA through its Research and Development Department, located at its Victorian headquarters has developed some world leading innovative LPG storage solutions. These are designed to reduce the impact on cargo accommodation and can aid in vehicle ground clearance issues on 4WD vehicles.
APA Territory (visit the territory website link)
APA through its extensive knowledge and research on twin tank design has developed a tank solution that not only meets the highest safety and quality standards, it allows the territory to retain its pleasing aesthetics and generous departure angle. The cylinder is mounted underneath the vehicle in place of the spare wheel and the spare wheel is retained within the vehicle on a vehicle specific carrier. The instillation still provides for roomy cargo accommodation.

Manifold Cylinder
The manifold cylinder with its unique design links three smaller cylinders to form one larger storage cylinder, it can be
fitted in a number of ways depending on the vehicle. Its ‘space friendly’ design has very little impact on the vehicle cargo accommodation. Depending on the vehicle this cylinder can either be fitted underneht the vehicle or inside the cabin area under a false floor as to minimise the impact on the vehicles cargo accomodation.
Toroidal Cylinder
The APA toroidal cylinder has been developed to provide the maximum sized LPG storage cylinder with the least amount of intrusion into the vehicles cargo area. Because of its unique internal central storage
area this is the largest capacity tank of its type in the world.
Whilst primarily shaped for the spare wheel well the toroidal tank can also be utilized for under vehicle installations to maximize ground clearance. The spare wheel is usually relocated with a vehicle specific spare wheel carrier and still provides the driver with roomy luggage and cargo accommodation.
Vertical Cylinder
Whilst primarily designed for use in Diesel/LPG hybrid vehicles the Vertical cylinder was designed for those applications where a conventional cylinder design may not be as practical, usually mounted behind the cabin of a heavy vehicle the design does not impede on the operation of the vehicle nor the trailer.
